Hans-Rudolf Lutz

After completing a typesetting apprenticeship in Zurich, Hans-Rudolf Lutz left Switzerland in 1961 to travel through Europe and Northern Africa. He completed his education in typography and design in Basel and Paris and opened his own studio and publishing company in Zurich in 1966. Lutz wrote and produced nine books about visual communication. He taught typography in Zurich and Lucerne for over thirty years and also taught at various international schools of design.
